In 2024, I was appointed as Research Resident at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Working across the historically-informed performance, composition, and electronic music departments, my research project explored the creative possibilities afforded by technologically ‘augmenting’ a virginal. Using Arduino circuits, sensors, Spectral audio-processing, and other technologies, the sound and performance practice of the virginal was transformed.
