Benjamin Tassie is a composer of electronic and acoustic music. Working across contemporary-classical and experimental, electronic pop scenes, he has collaborated with artists including Juice Vocal (Tate Modern, BBC Radio 3), Liam Byrne (Moth Club, Resonance FM), and Joby Burgess (National Portrait Gallery, Sound and Music). He has written a video opera with text by Hunter S. Thompson (Tête à Tête, Gestalt Arts, Second Movement), arranged pop songs by Björk, Radiohead and others for baroque orchestra (The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Kensington Palace), and composed immersive choir work for performance in a disused factory (Musarc, London Festival of Architecture).

Benjamin is artistic director of _REMIX. Using live performance and DJ sets to reinterpret historic and experimental music, _REMIX commission composers, performers, writers and artists to create unique musical experiences. _REMIX have produced nights in partnership with the  V&A ,  Historic Royal Palaces ,  Royal Academy of Arts ,  National Trust ,  Ikon Gallery , and others. _REMIX nights are ‘unusual and incredibly special’ [ London in Stereo ] and were described by  BBC 6 Music  as 'a space where classical music can be enjoyed in a relaxed environment'.
